Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too Soon

Our Dear Boy Junior

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonJunior was a long-time author. At first, he wrote books with Biggie. Sadly, Big Kittie passed away many years ago.
Then, we came into the family. We are twins. We began writing books with Junior. Junior always took the lead. He was over 16 years old.
Junior became ill last November. Our human mother, who loved Junior very much, would make sure all his needs were met.
Junior passed away in January. We want to remember him with this book. We want you to know that we were all what people call 'stray cats.' We were adopted and given a good home, vet care, and lots of love. We are all inside cats. We like it inside. We like looking out the windows.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonJunior was adopted long ago. He was just a kitten. He was afraid of people. He had learned not to trust people because some people were not very kind to him.
Love was the answer to bringing Junior out of his shell. Do you love an animal? Our human brother and sister have loved and cared for many cats. All of them have lived very long lives.

Our mom and human sister cat-napped Junior and Big Kittie from where they were staying. Once they brought them home, they gradually came out to roam the house.
We, the twins, like to stay together each day. When we came to the house, we stayed in one section and had a screen separating us from Junior.
He was too old and set in his ways to put up with all the running we did every day.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonBut Junior loved us. He would come over to the screen and talk to us. Once we bumped up against the screen, he would take off running.
Junior lost all but 3 of his teeth over the last 2 years. But he still ate all his favorite foods.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonOnce Junior passed away at the age of 16, we took down the screen door. Gradually, we came out and looked at the rest of the home.
About a week later, Tiger was jumping up on our human mother's bed and sleeping beside her all night long.
At 5 every morning, Sugar would meow loudly for attention because she was lonely in the living room.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonOnce, when Sugar was very ill, our human mother carried her around on a pillow until she got better. Sugar was grateful.
Junior would like us to go on writing these books. We want to take up the cause of pet adoption. Pet adoption, in our opionion, is a serious business.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonWe, the twins, want you to consider pet adoption if you can in your own family.

Lots of people adopt a pet. Some of those adoptions save that pet's life.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonCats take a lot of work. In fact, all pets take a lot of work.
Do you help your family take care of your pet?

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonEvery day, Tiger and Sugar have to have:
  • Litter changed
  • Fresh water
  • Food in their bowls

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonEach year, the twins have to have:
  • A checkup from the vet
  • Current shots

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonWe both love treats. Tiger is really getting a big belly from eating too many treats.
When the checkups come this year, the vet is going to put Tiger on a diet.

Our Dear Boy Junior: Gone Too SoonWhile we miss our dear Junior, we know that he would want us, the twins, to keep on writing our stories.
This was our dear Junior. We really loved him and we really miss him.

Our vet and his staff sent this nice note about Junior: We love Junior and will always remember him.
We hope you will continue to read our books.
Adopt a pet if your family has the room and love!
Meow for now!
